After a day of heavy rain the streets of Manasquan New Jersey were flooded. A few cars managed to get through anyway. It’s my understanding this happens quite a bit in this part of Manasquan. Too bad as many of these homes suffered major damage from Sandy back in Oct.
A grey day made a perfect day for B+W.
I like how the fire hydrant is still managing to keep its head above water.

Looks like you need a canoe instead of a car. I feel so bad for this area, it seems they just start recovering and now they are back at it again! Wonderful documentation!
The black and white toning and sharp detail of the fire hydrant added to the sad feeling of this flooded street scene.
Water damage is simply the worst!! My sympathies go out to those involved.
That almost looks like a timeless image. Did you manage to stay dry?
Definitely found a high spot!
