East End, West End……

Black and White

The Harbor of Refuge lightThis is The Harbor of Refuge light at the west end of the National Harbor of Refuge breakwater. It’s been use since 1926.

We passed this a few years ago while traveling from Washington DC to Cape May NJ. While on board the Lewes/Cape May ferry, we were able to see this and just a bit of the 8000 foot breakwater while traveling in the mouth of the Delaware Bay.

In terms of processing, I converted the original file into a B+W in Lightroom and then decided to give it a bit of tilt-shift look by blurring the foreground water. It’s not readily visible in the preview but if you click it you’ll see the effect in the full version.
