With over 135,000 bottles of wine, the wine cellar at The Grand Cascades Lodge is one of the largest in the world. It houses many of the best vintages of all great chateaux of Bordeaux and Burgundy. Bottles date back to the late 1800’s.
I had the opportunity to visit this fantastic cellar a few years ago and decided to reprocess this shot of one of the tasting rooms below the Restaurant Latour. I was amazed at the elegance of the cellar and decided to capture it’s grandeur in HDR. The main problem was the overall darkness of each room. This prompted shutter speeds up near 6 seconds. I was worried about a bit of noise but Photomatix tamed that unruly beast. I hope to present a few more from here in the next couple of days. Enjoy the weekend!
