Striking Out Lately….
My time has been severely limited the last few weeks due to softball, softball and more softball. So I decided to show you some softball. My daughters team is having a pretty good year hopefully I’ll be able to bring you more of these kinds of shots in the future.
To Tone Map or Not……That is the Question!
Some of you are fans of HDR photography and I know there are some of you who either dislike or have no opinion on this controversial photographic technique. This post is designed to give you an opportunity, as always, to see the results of the process of tone mapping and secondly to give your thoughts on whether this shot warrants it’s application or not. Please express your opinion and give some thoughts behind that opinion. Maybe we can have an open discussion and see where it goes……

Sports Galore…
Well, we have one tournament weekend under our belts and we all survived 6 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday. My oldest daughter’s(top) team went 2-4 and my youngest daughter’s(bottom) team compiled 3 wins and 1 loss. Each one played very very well and as always I’m very proud of them. It’s nice to watch all star teams as the quality of play is much better which makes watching more enjoyable. Thanks girls for providing an entertaining weekend!
From a photography standpoint I probably batted a mere .250. I need quite a bit more experience with action shots and a 300mm lens might help??!!?? No, I will not be purchasing one anytime soon…..no, no I won’t.

My other daughter Loriana plays softball as well and her second playoff game was a classic David vs. Goliath tale. Her team was the absolute underdog and needed to play a perfect game to win. Well, they almost pulled it off… an unfortunate series of walks in the bottom of the 7th inning and they lost 2-1. Wow, what a game!
This is Loriana getting one of the few hits of the game, she also pitched the first 4 innings and was fantastic.

Well, the season has finally ended. This shot is of my daughter Erica, pitching during the championship game. Although they lost the game Erica had an outstanding season and showed some pretty significant skills for only her second year. We will be getting her some pitching lessons over the summer and I already know she just can’t wait!
