The House Down the Block…
In retrospect I probably should have used this shot in my last post as the title was referring to our stay at this house. If your into B+B’s and the possibility of ghosts(if you believe in that sort of stuff) and are planning a trip to Cape May NJ, this would be the place to stay. We stayed in the room on the third floor behind those small windows on the side of the house.
BTW, the architecture of this home is known as Carpenter’s Gothic and is a favorite style here in Cape May.
Your Request…
Someone requested a shot of the whole car, so here it is! Someday I would love to ride in one of these just to see how the cruise control and auto parallel parking features work:) I wonder if any of the auto designers back then ever dreamed of offering features such as these? Hey, you never know! (maybe AC)
BTW, anybody know any specifics about this car?
Tranquility…
Just one of many spots to stop and take in the sites at Allaire State Park. Just after I sat down for a minute to do some chimping I turned around and saw my next shot which will be featured tomorrow.
Someone in a previous post asked that I post before and after shots of my pictures and I would love to except that it just adds to the workflow time and unfortunately it’s time that I’m struggling to find at the moment. I do love these sites that feature a mouse-over before and after and would be interested in featuring that, but, after a brief search I couldn’t find enough info to see if it’s a viable option on a free wordpress blog. If anyone out there has any info on this piece of code I would love to look at it.
This is a 6 shot HDR processed in Photomatix and finished in Lightroom

This is the Craig House, it was used as a hospital for British Troops during the Revolutionary War. It’s located in Freehold New Jersey.
This is an 3 shot HDR ,converted to sepia followed with an added texture. I hope that this processing enhances the already old fashioned feel of the shot.

This is the Battery Gunnison in Sandy Hook, NJ. , it was built in 1904 and utilized during the war until it was decommissioned in 1949. It was a rapid fire battery with a mission to protect the coastline of New York and New Jersey from smaller vessels that could move quicker than battleships. This 6 inch gun along with it’s companion rifle located directly behind me could propel a projectile a distance of 8 miles into New York Harbor.
Compared to today’s weapons, this gun is truly old fashioned. This is a 3 shot HDR with a very realistic look to it.
