Peaceful

Nothing special here just a peaceful spot along the Ramapo River in Mahwah NJ.
This is a 3 shot hdr processed in Photomatix and then finished in Topaz Adjust. I do like the softness of the water though.

  1. This is beautiful! It reminds me of something from Lord of the Rings (and I’m not exactly a fan); it’s on that line of fantasy. Definitely my idea of peaceful…and serene.

  2. Very, very peaceful. Makes me miss a walk in the woods. I like how you’ve caught the bend in the river and a bit of the “rapids.” Makes me “hear” the water flowing.

  4. It’s beautiful, Mike. Maybe not the most spectacular of scenery, but you’ve made the most of it! I love the detail in the gnarled tree trunk and the root-lined shore.

  5. If you spent anything less than two hours – regenerating in that exact spot, you understand nothing about peaceful, this looks like heaven or is it just your brilliant processing.

Looks like the perfect spot for a picnic…I can almost hear that flowing water! Love how realistic the colors are, it feels like I could just walk into the scene!

  7. This is a truly wonderful photo. The exposure is so perfect for the scene and the processing is dead on. This is one of my very favorites from this year’s Photowalk.

  9. I really like the HDR PP. The milky water is a big plus and the love the roots of the tree. Great detail.

  10. I really like the detail of the trees against the white milkiness of the water. Truly a peaceful view.
